Trans Health 101

Date: Tuesday April 16th, 2019

Time: 6-8 pm

Location: VGH

Patient & Community Partnership for Education are pleased to present Trans Health 101. In this interprofessional workshop, students will be introduced to the lived experience of trans people through stories and healthcare experiences shared by community educators. Discussion will include the need for gender affirming care and strategies to provide positive healthcare experiences for trans individuals. Community resources available to transgender clients and health professionals will be presented.

This workshop is worth 1 exposure activity on the Interprofessional Education Passport.

These workshops are only open to students in the UBC health and human services. Registration is required to attend as space is limited to 25 students. Apply to register here:
